PAM invites you to Johannesburg’s Bassline Fest

Join Sampa The Great, Thandiswa Mazwai, Stogie T and others this Saturday at Constitutional Hill!

Win one double ticket for Bassline Fest I AM HERE by sending your name and surname to [email protected], with “Bassline Fest” in the subject line.

Bassline continues its 28 years of platforming upcoming talents and industry legends with Bassline Fest I AM HERE. In association with the pan-African music trade-event ACCES, the live event promoter will present its festival on 27th November 2021 at the iconic Constitution Hill, in Johannesburg. The concert will be for a live audience (in-line with Covid regulations) and will also be streamed internationally with Bassline’s festival partners.

Headline artists are South African legend Thandiswa Mazwai and Zambia-born Australia-based Sampa The Great, who has been impacting globally with her latest albums and shows. Also billed are SA hip-hop stalwart Stogie T, Lesotho’s Morena Leraba, Laliboi and Ikati Esengxoweni from South Africa and Moonga K from Zambia and Botswana.

Brad Holmes, concert organizer of Bassline fest, emphasises that the performances are happening as a result of the support of a number of different organizations. “Sampa The Great’s performance at the Bassline Fest is made possible by the Reeperbahn Festival, and SAKIFO Festival is supporting StogieT’s performance in keeping with the long relationship with Bassline Fest”. Other partners include Siemens Stiftung, Goethe Institut and Reeperbahn Festival and French Institute of South Africa. “Envisage this; sunny Jozi day under blue skies Constitution Hill, great food, refreshing drinks and of course excellent talent on high quality staging”, adds Paige Holmes, Creative Director of Bassline.
