VHOOR continues baile funk adventure on new album

The Brazilian producer VHOOR demonstrates his musical fertility with Baile & Drips, the fifth volume of the Baile series, which blends the baile funk style with other genres. First listen on PAM: “FM”.

At only 22 years old, VHOOR already displays an impressive discography, something that demonstrates his hyperactivity as a producer with a thirst for experimentation that nothing seems able to quench. Since the Acima EP in collaboration with Sango, they developed a mentorship dynamic and worked together again this year on the latest releases from American producers, Sangozinho and Da Rocinha 4. Working with an expert in the field has definitely propelled the Belo Horizonte boy to the forefront of the scene, giving him a well-deserved boost on the road to making a name for himself. Between packs of edits, mixtapes and albums, the beatmaker hasn’t stopped this year, with five releases in total, not to mention his productions for other artists such as MC Dricka, Kyan and Fleezus. After Baile & Beats, Baile & Trill, Baile & Vibes and Baile & Sauce, the series continues with this Baile & Drip, revisiting urban sounds through a baile funk lens, with the same class as his little brothers.

VHOOR – FM

Victor Hugo de Oliveira Rodrigues continues to explore the parallels between baile funk on one side, hip-hop, trap, grime, R’n’B, house and drill on the other. The third single “FM” is perhaps the sweetest and most melodic track from the album, and VHOOR uses the lyrics and vocal loops of the genre as percussive instruments throughout. With his futuristic sense for deconstruction, VHOOR takes another big step towards royal status in Brazilian electronic music.

The album will be available from November 20, pre-order it here.
