Thee Dian and her crew's "Masterclass"

The Franco-Senegalese singer drops a new video, surrounded by Crystal Murray, Le Diouck, Calamity and Lagrace.

Based between Paris and Dakar, Thee Dian is a young singer-songwriter of 20 years old with a very singular life. Her mother, a backing singer for Manu Dibango and Alpha Blondy, and her Senegalese father, a singer for Carlos Santana, opened the doors of music to her from a very young age. Now signed to Crystal Murray’s Spin Desire label, the few singles she has to her credit plunge us into her mixed and free world, in which rap is used to deconstruct stereotypes as she asserts herself.

Thee Dian now unveils the video for “Masterclass”, featuring Crystal Murray, Le Diouck, Calamity and Lagrace. This suave and sultry ballad gives voice to a modern and creative youth, drawing on different influences to offer us a retro-futuristic, aesthetic and feminist RnB. The sounds are evocative and take us on a sensual journey. The single will appear on the singer’s next EP, which she is currently preparing with producer Loubenski.

Listen to “Masterclass” in our Songs of the Week playlist on Spotify and Deezer.
