Cíntia flirts with her "African Queen" in her new music video

Ahead of the release of her debut EP, scheduled for the end of the year, the Luso-Guinean rapper Cíntia unveils her new single.

Since her breakthrough with “Grana”, the Afro-sounding hit that flooded the Portuguese airwaves at the end of 2019, things have moved very fast for the young Cíntia Nicole. Since then, she has worked for Universal Music Portugal and is a member of the promising roster Loco Knight, alongside the Bissau-Guinean-born rapper Pucci Jr., the native of the Apelação neighbourhood on the outskirts of Lisbon. The rapper seems to have no time to lose at the age of eighteen. After releasing the tracks “Ela” and “Savana” in recent months, Cíntia gives us a closer look at the outlines of her first EP with “African Queen”, her latest single to date.

A summer song if ever there was one that smells like the afrobeats of Wizkid and Burna Boy. This is probably because the rapper went to find one of their compatriots in the person of Steverawd, a promising producer who has already collaborated with the prolific Limoblaze among others. As usual, it is director Silvio Moreira who is behind the camera to capture here the game of seduction between Cíntia and her “African Queen” (or rather her African Queens in the music video) that she “guesses comes from Mozambique” according to the lyrics. The title as well as the release date of Cíntia’s EP have not yet been communicated.
