Boddhi Satva is biting at your ears with “Kilulu”

Paving the way for his forthcoming third album, Boddhi Satva releases  “Kilulu”, his latest single featuring an all-star pan-African crew sure to turn up the clubs from Dakar to Detroit.

The maestro Boddhi Satva just released “Kilulu”, a deep and powerful dancefloor-oriented gem from his forthcoming third album Manifestation, due to come out early June 2022. The song is a seamless collaboration with celebrated singer Kaysha and Lubumbashi’s dynamic duo: beat wizard Spilulu and H.Baraka with the unmistakably warm and rhythmic vocals.

‘Kilulu’ means ‘bites’ in English. Fitting as the song comes gently biting at you, with its rhythms and vibe, catching you ears to get you moving on the dancefloor” says Boddhi. “It talks about having fun, being positive and sharing togetherness, which are all so vital, especially in times like this.”

Kaysha’s silky voice draws you smoothly into the groove, perfectly balanced by H.Baraka’s response, adding rhythm and intensity with his deep signature vocals. Boddhi’s vibes are immediately evident on the ndombolo-inspired drum section, powered by Spilulu’s magic touch, which turn this song into an instant afro house classic.

While the music is firmly rooted in central African heritage, the beautiful and visually compelling video – shot in Dakar by Redot and featuring Khoudia and Malik on the dance moves – lend this project a truly pan-African dimension.

“Kilulu”, released by London’s BBE Records, is available on pre-order.
