Ms Banks and Naira Marley invite us to their “Party”

The two artists drop a sensual new single and video, blending Afrobeats and rap in a distinctive Nigerian style.

A collaboration between Naira Marley and Ms Banks is nothing but coherent. Both artists switch between dance songs and rap, and belong to the large Nigerian diaspora, Ms Banks being based in London with Nigerian and Ugandan roots and Marley having spent a large part of his life in Peckham (South London). Following their common track “Anywhere”, released last year, they return with “Party”, a lustful new song alternating between Banks’ sweet melodies and Marley’s provocative rap verse. Produced by Rexxie, heavyweight of Nigerian production, the track evokes dancing, seduction and carnal relationships. The video was shot in Lagos, the place to be when it comes to partying in West Africa.

Listen to “Party” in our One Dance playlist on Spotify and Deezer.
