Headie One enlists Stormzy and Aj Tracey on “Ain't It Different”

A follow-up to “Only You Freestyle” featuring hip hop icon Drake.

Irving Adjei aka Headie One, is a British rapper and songwriter from Tottenham, North London. In 2018, he released his mixtape The One which included the single “Know Better” featuring rapper RV, which became an “underground hit”. Last year, Headie One released his mixtape Music x Road which peaked at number five on the UK Albums Chart, confirming Headie One’s indisputable talent. Finally, after his most recent collaboration with hip hop icon Drake on “Only You Freestyle”, there is no more debate concerning his rank in the drill scene.

Produced by the British singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and remixer Fred Gibson (Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy, Octavian, Stefflon Don), Headie One enrolls two rap kings of the UK : Stormzy and Aj Tracey. The record samples two emblematic tracks; “Pretty Little Ditty” by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and “Bump and Grind” by M-Dubs.

The accompanying video was directed by Taz Tron Delix (Novelist, Kojey Radical and Oscar Worldpeace). The cinematic visuals feature Headie, AJ and Stormzy as members of an elite secret society with cameos from RV and OFB. Throughout the video a towering statue of Headie overlooks the London skyline as the drill king he is.

The track “Ain’t It Different” is Headie One’s first collaboration with Aj Tracey and his second with British grime and hip-hop artist Stormzy, after the track “Audacity”.
