Wizkid strikes again with smooth music video 'Joro'

‘Joro’ is a charming and catchy new tune from WizKid

Two weeks after his last single “Ghetto Love”, the Nigerian Starboy is back on a new hit. Produced by Northboi, the architect behind the huge success of the song “Soco”, “Joro” is a romantic ode with sweet sonorities.

The term itself means “crazy”, “out of one’s mind”, like the actress and dancer Georgie Curtis who looks spellbound in the video by the melodies of the Afrobeats star. The camera follows her through the night streets of Lagos, between hair salons, dark sidewalks and candle-lighted rooms. This new track should be the second single from Wizkid‘s upcoming 4th album, which should be entitled “Made In Lagos”. The project’s title suggests a return to his roots and origins, after a year full of international collaborations: indeed, the singer had appeared alongside Beyonce for the Lion King soundtrack, or on London rapper Skepta’s album.
