Naira Marley gets spooky with “Kojosese” video

The Nigerian bad boy turns his latest viral social media sensation into a cinematic video full of fun monsters and dancing zombies.

Naira Marley’s technique seems to have reached its most mastered form. His latest tracks capture the perfect mix of rapid Afrobeats and dirty, nonchalant hip-hop verses. “Kojosese”, Marley’s new song, is another step in this direction. The rapper delivers his best bars in English, Pidgin and Yoruba on a highly percussive instrumental filled with drums and whistles, composed by Angolan producer LeoBeatz (specialized in Afro-house).

The video features Marley in a half-funny half-spooky setting, surrounded by an army of dancing zombies all vibing to the track. The dancers reproduce the song’s viral choreography, which became a go-to challenge on social media platforms like Tik Tok and Instagram. Following “First Time in America” produced by Rexxie, “Kojosese” is the second single from the rapper’s upcoming album This Is Africa, scheduled to drop in spring 2022.

Listen to “Kojosese” in our One Dance playlist on Spotify and Deezer.
