Kwesi Arthur and Vic Mensa triumph in "Winning" video

The young Ghanaian star teams up with Chicago rapper Vic Mensa to revel in victory beyond the hardships of social determinism.

At only twenty-six years old, Kwesi Arthur has already shaken up the music scene in his native country by becoming the youngest Ghanaian artist to receive a nomination for a BET Award in 2018. Following on from collaborations with Stormzy and Cardi B, Kwesi continues his transatlantic exchange alongside Chicago rapper Vic Mensa on his new single “Winning.” Particularly known for commitment to alleviate inequalities, Vic is one of the founders of Save Money Save Life, an organization that funds programs dedicated to health and art access in Illinois.

Kwesi Arthur states that he won’t be forever condemned to victimhood: “Everything happens for a reason. If I hadn’t been in that situation as a child, I wouldn’t be where I am now, I wouldn’t have the thoughts I have, I wouldn’t be able to be who I am.” The rising Ghanaian star celebrates his revenge on life with “Winning,” a track that announces his new album, scheduled for release this summer.
