Deekapz cook up new electronic mix on POLY

The Brazilian production duo teases their fifth project of the year with “CROMA,” an upbeat track jam built on a wide range of influences.

Deekapz’s mantra has always been to expand the boundaries of global electronic music through their Brazilian and baile funk-inspired sound. Having produced for superstars like Tropkillaz and Pabllo Vittar, they have built a reputation for transitioning between genres within their soundscapes. “CROMA,” their latest single destined for the POLY EP, is no different. Described by the São Paulo-based duo as “an invitation to revisit the identity that brought us to you,” the track moves from skilful blend of baile funk and electronic sounds to fresh club/dance colors on the outro.

“CROMA” is the first single from the duo’s upcoming EP POLY, scheduled for September 10th. Named as a playful reference to the Polly Pocket Doll, which can be assembled to preference, the project will showcase the duo’s multi-faceted production approach and their diverse range of musical influences. “CROMA” serves as the model for the EP, which will feature tracks that all contain more than one type of genre – moving from tropical bass and house to chill baile, trap and more. Following their latest project, Ensaio Sobre Você, released in May, appetite is high for this new release.

POLY by Deekapz, availabe on September 10th, 2021.

Listen to “CROMA” in our afro + club playlist on Spotify and Deezer.
