Ria Sean explores love and heartbreak on "Lemonade"

The young Nigerian singer has released a new video evoking the duality between passion and heartbreak.

Following collaborations with artists such as Leriq, Adekunle Gold, Moelogo and Goodgirl LA, Ria Sean has shared the video for “Lemonade.” With a burst of soul, Ria Sean declares her love as well as her disappointment: “What do you want? What do you need? I mean I could have been worse, I could have been mean when you tried me. Why this one makes you gimme space? Oh I don’t regret, did my best. Walai, You burst my heart, walai.

Having grown up singing in church, the Nigerian singer-songwriter quickly found herself enchanted by the likes of Whitney Houston, Brandy, Chris Brown and Frank Ocean, whom she sees as her main inspirations. Now, she skillfully merges this R&B background with afropop and Lo-Fi sounds.
