Bella Allubo stays in the culture with a new video for 'Aiya'

A few months ago, Nigerian singer, Bella Alubo released re-Bella, a 7-track EP that features BOJ, Victoria Kimani, Sho Madjozi and Efya. To stretch the EP’s reach, Bella has released visuals for the lead single in the collection, “Aiya”. In the song, the artist fumes about her romance with a man that ‘fucks her up’.

The sassy video opens with the Bella choking her lover in his sleep, an extreme act we quickly learnt was only an illusion.  Teezee DRB is the no good lover she finally kicked out. The visual has a classic aesthetic of the early 2000s and a noticeable dose of dark skin magic. “Aiya”s greatest moment is its hook, where Bella’s vocals reign on the subtle beat produced by Syn X.

No doubt, this new video for “Aiya” will keep Bella Alubo and her EP re-Bella in the culture for a long while.
