In this light and melodious piece, Nigeria’s number one entertainer talks about money in a different tone than usual.
Indeed, in “Billionaire”, no bling bling, pretentiousness or show off. The artist sings with hope the reasons why she wants to become rich, in a hyper-capitalist Nigeria where entrepreneurship is one of the most widespread modes of subsistence. The video, as usual for Teni, is full of humour: we see her doubting and calling a friend on a TV game board, in a two-minute break in pidgin.
The visuals were directed by the great TG Omori, who has already worked with Naira Marley or Tekno.”Billionaire” is taken from from her 6-track EP of the same name released on the Dr Dolor Entertainment label last October.
