Space Afrika announce Honest Labour

The Manchester duo has teamed up with the rapper and chorographer MC Blackhaine for “B£E,” a single that heralds the release of their upcoming album, slated for  late August. Watch the new visual on PAM.

Space Afrika’s video for “B£E” features Blackhaine, a Lancashire-born artist known for his collaborations with Flohio, Mykki Blanco and Richie Culver. With this being the first single from Honest Labour. Space Afrika presents a slightly dark and deeply introspective universe that taps into ideas surrounding the loneliness of lockdown. The duo has drawn important lessons about love, resilience and loyalty from this experience, and seek to share them through this track. Space Afrika defines the record as “recordings that leave an impression and help the listener cope with their life.” He added: “Ultimately, it’s a tribute to British energy and an album about love and loss.

In 2020, Space Afrika released the hybtwibt? mixtape, which aimed at raising funds against racism in the UK following the murder of George Floyd. The project was named one of the “best ambient albums of the year” by Pitchfork and Bandcamp.

Pre-order Honest Labour before August 27, via Dais Records.
