The Belgo-Martinican DJ releases a cynical new acid-electro single, recorded with her associate Bolis Pupul.
The single “Thank You” is “an insolent and cynical revenge against all the opinions that some people feel obliged to share with us when we haven’t asked them to,” explains Charlotte Adigéry. Bolis Pupul, on production, adds that the duo from Ghent (Belgium) wanted “a final song for live shows that keeps on going up, but never reaches its peak, it goes up, up and then it’s over.” The result is a zany video, punctuated with images of pigeons and eggs, in which the DJ sarcastically thanks know-it-alls and opinionated fake friends. All of this is done with a good dose of humour and with a sense of letting go.
