Nigerian pop singer, Davido is ending the year with ‘Wonder Woman’, a song aimed at celebrating women and female power.
‘Wonder Woman’ is Davido’s fourth single of the year after ‘Assurance’, ‘Flora My Flawa’ and ‘Nwa Baby’.In the song, Davido sings about a beautiful woman, commending her natural body while stressing that he is to spend any currency or figures on her, a typical Davido angle. The visuals to the song, however, tells a different and empowering story.
Directed by Twitch and definitely inspired by Drake’s ‘Nice for What’, the visuals to the song is features cameo of diverse female figures, from emerging to widely celebrated. Some of Davido’s women her Grammy nominee, Kah-Lo to Kai Collective creator, Fisayo Longe, She Writes Woman Foundation founder, Hauwa Ojeifo, award-winning power vocalist, Omawunmi, Girl Coding and Pearl Africa Foundation founder, Abisoye Ajayi Akin-Folarin and ART X founder, Tokini Peterside and of course, his girlfriend, Chioma.
