After a successful outing last year, the rap duo, Show Dem Camp has released a new project, Palm Wine Music Vol 2. The project is a follow up of their street groovy mainstream hit, Palm Wine Music Vol 1.
Palm Wine Music Vol 2 is a 10-track project that features Burna Boy, Nonso Amadi, Falana, BOJ, LadiPoe, Ajebutter, Flash, Moelogo, Lady Donli and Tomi Agape. The LP is solely produced by the brilliant Spax, who did the most work on every track.
Show Dem Camp’s Palm Wine Music is a fusion of Hip-Hop and Highlife. It is a corrupted and albeit a progressive version of an African sound and style promoted by Ebenezer Calendar and His Maringar Band in the 50s and 60s.
Like Palm Wine Music Vol 1, this new project is gathering waves, especially as it offers a break from the heavy drums fast dominating the year.
