The French label hopes to bring summer back with this new project.
Following three precedent acclaimed editions, Stix Records, a sub-label of Favorite Recordings, presents Disco Reggae Vol. 4. From the beginning, the project’s idea has been pretty straightforward: huge disco classics reworked and re-arranged as reggae & dub killer tunes.
On this fourth volume, songs from Roy Ayers, Chemise, Lyn Christopher, Gerswhin, A Taste Of Honey, Keni Burke, Patrice Rushen or Kraftwerk will be embellished by sweet Jamaican flavours, brought by the best producers from the Stix roster. Soul Sugar aka Booker Gee, Taggy Matcher, Blundetto, Mato, Rosemary Martins and Wolfgang, with their eight feel-good songs, have signed here the perfect soundtrack to extend the summer and rock the dancefloors. Taggy Matcher’s groovy “She Can’t Love You”, already available, proves it easily.
