The two artists deliver the Ivorian rap full of melody and striking choreography.
Oyoki Onanayo got into music through his friend Fior 2 Bior, another agitator on the Ivorian scene. Known for their joint track “Piqué Piqué,” plus many other solo releases, he is spearheading the gbougbarada genre, a bubbling rap full of Ivorian flavours. On “Souké Pou Siki” he joins forces with Stelair, who has worked with Kiff No Beat to deliver us this energetic and joyful release. In this new song released on Blanc Manioc, the pair delve into the perils of seduction when rejection is what follows. Arranged by Cardozo of Limbolo Soundsystem, the track is also inspired by the kuduro hit “Dança do tchiriri,” by Angolan singer Costuleta, the traces of which can be heard on the chorus.
