With the release of the single \u201cCalm Down\u201d the highly anticipated debut of one of afrobeats biggest stars is set for March 25th.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rema<\/a>\u2019s debut is here. The superstar\u2019s first album will be a collection of music Rema calls afrorave, which includes the previously released “Soundgasm”. With major hits already under his belt like \u201cDumebi\u201d, \u201cWoman, or \u201cCorny\u201d, expectations are high for Rave & Roses<\/em>. The artist has also made noise with a slate of mega international features including his appearance on FKA Twigs<\/a>\u2019 CAPRISONGS <\/em>via the track \u201cjealousy\u201d as well as work with Skepta<\/a> and JEA5 on \u201cDimension\u201d and the latest projects of Bad Gyal, Aluna, and Justine Skye. That is to say nothing of Rema\u2019s omnipresence on the Nigerian scene from DJ Neptune<\/a>\u2019s Greatness 2.0<\/a><\/em> (despite the apparent controversy) to Ladipoe<\/a>\u2019s Providence, and DJ Cuppy<\/a>\u2019s Original Copy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of Rema\u2019s single\u2019s to date have shown a surprising diversity and taste for success. There are the high energy bangers like \u201cBounce\u201d, the neo-trap swing on \u201cAlien\u201d or the Afrobeats crooning of \u201cCorny\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his most recent single, Rema had this to say: \u201c\u2018Calm Down\u2019 is about the events that led me to finding love at the time. It started at a party where I saw a girl who stood out from other girls so I felt like shooting my shot. We spoke and danced… but her friends didn\u2019t let me get any closer which killed the vibe, but afterwards when they weren\u2019t there, we stayed in touch and hit it off.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
