The release shows how her homeland\u2019s vibrant culture inspired her, as she embraces the island\u2019s typical maloya music and traditions in a subtle way. Blending her drum and percussion instruments with electronic music and sounds from her roots, she creates an intimate and colourful project with <em>Labalamer<\/em>, evoking themes such as bereavement, expatriation and an inner journey of discovery. \u201cDan Ton Zi\u00e9\u201d, featuring Reunion artist Sibu Mana\u00ef, already available, presents its very own entrancing and delicate universe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=2411200998\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" seamless=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"><a href=\"https:\/\/shikashika.bandcamp.com\/album\/labalamer\">Labalamer by Eat My Butterfly<\/a><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Eat My Butterfly has become one of the most exciting young artists to emerge from the Indian ocean&#8217;s flourishing and diverse scene, notably thanks to her projects <em><a href=\"https:\/\/disquesduborddeleau.bandcamp.com\/album\/spring-ep-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spring EP<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/eat-my-butterly-deor-kreol-reworks\/\">D\u00e9or kreol reworks<\/a><\/em>. <em>Labalamer <\/em>also features a selection of fellow Reunionese artists such as Christine Salem, Aleksand Saya and Justine Mauvin \u2018aka\u2019 Sibu.
