Considered one of the pioneers of spiritual groove and Afrocentric jazz, the musician has recorded and performed with heavyweights such as <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/tag\/pharoah-sanders\/\">Pharoah Sanders<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/tag\/archie-shepp\/\">Archie Shepp<\/a>, David Murray, Billy Bang, Lester Bowie, <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/tag\/nina-simone\/\">Nina Simone<\/a> and Stevie Wonder, to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Returning to his natural home on Spiritmuse Records, <em>A Time for Healing<\/em> answers the urgent questions posed by his latest <em><a href=\"https:\/\/kahilelzabar-is.bandcamp.com\/album\/kahil-el-zabar-s-america-the-beautiful\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">America The Beautiful<\/a><\/em> album, addressing the state of affairs today whilst calling for a better tomorrow. Here, the Chicago legend surrounds himself with the hottest young talent.
