The EP revisits their early project through deep techno, Afro house, downtempo and dance-pop sounds. The resulting soundscape is joyful and effective, boldly transmitting the group\u2019s feminist messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Dogon (Jo Bissa Remix)\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O8ZRCJf3HGk?feature=oembed&#038;autoplay=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Dogon (Jo Bissa remix) &#8211; Les Amazones d&#8217;Afrique<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The first cut from this EP, &#8220;Dogon (Jo Bissa Remix),&#8221; adds hip-hop spice to <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/tag\/mamani-keita\/\">Mamani Ke\u00efta<\/a> and Amadou Demb\u00e9l\u00e9\u2019s duo. They sing about the conflict between the Dogon and Fulani communities in Mali, advocating peace between communities. Jo Bissa,&nbsp; the Amsterdam-based producer and Umoja member, was inspired by the music he encountered on his many trips to Europe and Africa, including appearances at the <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/tag\/nyege-nyege\/\">Nyege Nyege<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/tag\/analog-africa\/\">Analog Africa <\/a>and OneTribe festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les Amazones d&#8217;Afrique have been geared towards&nbsp; creating musical connections since the beginning of lockdown, in 2020.
