The Nigerian-born artist explores the vibrant sounds of his native country with a new video shot in South Africa. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Now a Berlin resident, Wayne Snow has collaborated with many producers on the European electronic scene, such as Max Graef, Darius, FKJ and Crayon. This exposure led to a deal with the French label Roche Musique. Mixing soultronica, neo-soul and alternative pop, his new track, “Seventy,” is the synthesis of his musical heritage as well as more recent influences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the artist’s words, the song “is about perseverance, about overcoming the obstacles that stand in your way and never letting go.” The track was conceived with Wayne\u2019s idea of engaging in a 70-day countdown, the details of which can be seen in the video, in order to bounce back from a difficult year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the futuristic visual shot in Tankwa Karoo National Park near Cape Town, Wayne combines CGI and contemporary dance, moving through rich and colorful landscapes while exploring his relationship to himself as well as with nature. Directed by photographer and director Travys Owen, who has previously worked with The Roots, Erykah Badu and Burna Boy, the video marks a tribute to Afrofuturism in the breathtaking South African desert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
