A transcendental universe of music awaits! <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Aziz Sahmaoui and the University of Gnawa will offer mystical and unbridled rhythms in a live set tonight. After collaborating together for a decade, these artists are capable of performing in perfect synchronicity and will do so for the Au fil des Voix digitized festival, offering a show based around their <em>Best Of<\/em> album, which was released on December 11, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Soudani ya yemma (Remastered)\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2-OkO3J6Pp8?feature=oembed&#038;autoplay=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On the program they will revisit the entire Moroccan and West African musical heritage, from the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara, all wrapped in a soul blend, as illustrated by the pan-African track \u201cSoudani Ya Yemma.\u201d These artists show how Gnawa culture is still as powerful as ever, a symbiosis of animism and sufism. Alune\u2019s groovy bass, Cheikh Diallo\u2019s melodious kora and Aziz Sahmaoui\u2019s dancing ngoni never cease to amaze audiences.
