{"id":70888,"date":"2021-02-03T18:06:42","date_gmt":"2021-02-03T17:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/?p=70888"},"modified":"2021-02-03T18:10:03","modified_gmt":"2021-02-03T17:10:03","slug":"guedra-guedra-aura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/guedra-guedra-aura\/","title":{"rendered":"Unreleased Guedra Guedra \u0643\u062f\u0631\u0629 \u0643\u062f\u0631\u0629 track to play on the PAM Sound System Radio Show"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On Thursday, February 4, at 4pm on RCV99fm, the PAM Sound System will broadcast a preview of the track \u201cAura,\u201d from the upcoming album by the Moroccan artist Guedra Guedra which will be released on March 12. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Unquestionably the artist behind one of the most intriguing hits of 2020 with his EP <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\" href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/guedra-guedra-vexillology\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Son of Sun<\/em><\/a>, Guedra Guedra recently announced the release of his album <em>Vexillology<\/em>, a logical continuation in which he builds a bridge between club culture and African traditions. By combining his research with dance floor energy, Guedra Guedra breathes new life into his bass by distilling tribal music, sounds of nature and traditional percussion, recorded directly at the source. Through the prism of tribal and ancestral practices, he imagines a utopian sense of equality between societies separated by borders, seeking to reunite North Africa with sub-Saharan Africa through his music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=2237449632\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" seamless loading=\"lazy\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guedraguedra.bandcamp.com\/album\/vexillology\">Vexillology by Guedra Guedra \u0643\u062f\u0631\u0629 \u0643\u062f\u0631\u0629<\/a><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Convinced that no studio recording can compete with the practice of field recording, the Moroccan artist ventured outside to find the raw material for \u201cAura,\u201d which draws its energy from the Atlas Mountains, where the Zayan tribe continues to keep the practice of Ahidous alive. Men and women sing in an organized circle, reciting poems and playing bendir (North African percussion) to reach a collective trance, which Guedra Guedra brilliantly transcribes on this piece before transposing it to the club environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show, which will be hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/tweek-aka-crotch-goblin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">Crotch Goblin<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/lefrit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">Le Frit<\/a>, will be broadcast on RCV99fm on Thursday, February 4, at 4pm, and rebroadcast on the Lille airwaves on Saturday, February 6, at 10pm, and by our Swiss friends at <a href=\"https:\/\/auborddeleau.radio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">La Radio du Bord de l&#8217;Eau<\/a> on Saturday, February 16, at 5pm!
