{"id":70581,"date":"2021-02-01T17:45:07","date_gmt":"2021-02-01T16:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/?p=70581"},"modified":"2021-02-24T23:06:18","modified_gmt":"2021-02-24T22:06:18","slug":"mr-eazi-the-don","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/mr-eazi-the-don\/","title":{"rendered":"Mr Eazi unveils new alias in single \u201cThe Don\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mr Eazi\u2019s new single introduces the era of The Don, a reflection on Eazi\u2019s growing music empire, and an announcement of his upcoming EP <em>Something Else<\/em>. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/?s=mr+eazi\">Mr Eazi<\/a> embodies <em>The Don<\/em> for his latest single announcing his upcoming EP&nbsp; \u201cSomething Else\u201d due February 19th. \u201c<em>I spent the entire year working on building emPawa Africa and morphing into Don Eazi, the mogul,<\/em>\u201d Eazi says of his work as the founder and visionary behind his incubator and mentorship launched in 2018 which includes the likes of freshly anointed pop-star <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/?s=joeboy\">Joeboy<\/a>. \u201c<em>I almost had no time to record,<\/em>\u201d he continues \u201c<em>This project was inspired by Kel P and Killertunes, who kept coming to meet me in Accra until I finally recorded \u2018The Don.\u2019 And that opened the door for me getting back in the studio.<\/em>\u201d <em>The Don<\/em> is a menacing and mature exploration of Eazi\u2019s seat at the helm of the Nigerian music scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unmistakable Kel P known for his production on <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/?s=burna+boy\">Burna Boy<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/burna-boy-announces-new-album-african-giant\/\"><em>African Giant<\/em><\/a> and Killertunes, an emPawa Africa participant and <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/?s=olamide\">Olamide<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/?s=tiwa+savage\">Tiwa Savage<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/?s=wizkid\">Wizkid <\/a>collaborator, bring the fire to light the stage for Mr Eazi\u2019s return.
