Get ready because this is only the beginning of an exclusive licence deal with the Albarika label. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first reissue is a direct reproduction of the album <em>Vol. 4 \u2013 Yehouessi Leopold Batteur<\/em> released in 1978. For many DJs and dancers, this album has long been consecrated thanks to the incendiary track &#8220;Aiha Ni Kpe We,&#8221; an Afrobeat recording that elicits dancing from all listeners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=3073385136\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" seamless loading=\"lazy\"><a href=\"https:\/\/acidjazz.bandcamp.com\/album\/vol-4-yehouessi-leopold-batteur\">Vol. 4 \u2013 Yehouessi Leopold Batteur by T.P Orchestre Poly Rythmo De Cotonou \u2013 Benin<\/a><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> \u201c<em>Every time I listen to the Orchestre Poly Rythmo \u2026 Wow, I just discover something new in the music<\/em>\u201d <\/p><cite> Gilles Peterson <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand we have <em>Unit\u00e9 Africaine<\/em>, an album whose title track dates back to 1977. This second re-release is not exactly a compilation, but rather a combination of two tracks that stood out at a time when the band was at the height of its power. The Afro-Latin sounds of the title track &#8220;African Unity&#8221; were recorded in the state-of-the-art EMI studios in Lagos and &#8220;Mede Ma Gnin Messe&#8221; is taken from the vinyl <em>Special 30 November 1978<\/em>, which sees&nbsp; Poly-Rythmo don their Afro-funk hats to for nearly sixteen minutes of pure groove. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=3943014636\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" seamless loading=\"lazy\"><a href=\"https:\/\/acidjazz.bandcamp.com\/album\/unite-africaine\">Unite\u0301 Africaine by T. P.
