The initiative is launched in celebration of Nigerian Independence Day (October 1st) aligned with the BHIN Hub\u2019s mission to \u201cto recognize and celebrate Black creators and culture all year long\u2014not just in February\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the second time Spotify has worked with Burna Boy following a \u201cBurna Bank\u201d ATM installation in Brooklyn for the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/tag\/burna-boy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Burna Boy (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">Burna Boy<\/a>&#8216;s second to last album <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/34vlTd4355ddD4q9pPsoqF?si=r-cDaQcqR_6nOBKCNo6VPw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\"><em>African Giant<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new collaboration comes on the heels of Burna boy\u2019s latest album <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/218CJKDCszsQQj7Amk7vIu?si=7PYWEOHIQXeLD6pin8QKrw\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Twice As Tall<\/em><\/a> and includes a playlist takeover of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/playlist\/37i9dQZF1DWSEHf1f0boX3?si=Odf9hSmfT6GMmu4i2ISuZQ\" target=\"_blank\">Black Superheroes<\/a> which features Burna Boy\u2019s own inspirational idols and personal predictions of the next Black music superstars. A small deck of Twice As Tall themed superhero cards were also created to top off the commemoration including Burna Boy (past, present, and future), his mother, car, and West African religious figures. Each card outlines the powers of each character and fans will have the opportunity to recreate their own Burna Cards with personal photos or videos through an exclusive Instagram AR filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlighting Burna Boy\u2019s mother aka \u201cThe Namix\u201d is fitting as her and Burna\u2019s sister will co-curate Spotify\u2019s Queen playlist to celebrate the pivotal roles women have had in shaping Burna Boy\u2019s career.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BHIN hub will also include The Elite 5 containing artist profiles of Burna\u2019s five legendary music inspirations: Fela Kuti, Angelique Kidjo, Supercat, Bob Marley, Diddy) and The Giants Of Africa containing Burna\u2019s personal curation of recent new releases and iconic albums from Nigerian icons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spotify has displayed its interest in African Music since the launch of its <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/genre\/afro-page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">Afro Hub<\/a> in 2018 which aims \u201cto celebrate and educate fans with the continent\u2019s diverse music cultures.\u201d While the platform is still only available in South Africa among Sub Saharan African nations, Spotify has made strides to diversify its offering with playlists like <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/playlist\/37i9dQZF1DWYkaDif7Ztbp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">African Heat<\/a> (Hits), <a
