The U.K. rapper is back with \u201cUnveiled\u201d from her upcoming mixtape due out in November.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Her energetic rap unpacks at breakneck speed, carrying the biting poetry of her lyrics and overflowing with scenic energy. It is impossible to pass by Flohio without being caught up in her hurried and relentless flow. The London-based Nigerian native made a name for herself two years ago with the EP that featured her now flagship track “Wild-Yout,” before performing on tracks with Richard Russell’s The Streets, Everything Is Recorded and the German electronic duo Modeselektor. For this new single, the rapper chose the duo Take A Daytrip (“The Scotts” by Travis Scott and Kid Cudi) and an energetic, claustrophobic  video featuring a group of somewhat frightening dancers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in Lagos before moving to South London at the age of 8, the lightning-fast pace of life and the almost constant rain of the capital city help explain her frantic and realistic style. Flohio is as adept at soaking up environments, from the London grime of the 2000s as to  avant-garde electronic sounds and good old-fashioned hip-hop. This inspiring mix has taken her up the ladder very quickly, the rapper now being for the London rap scene what Jorja Smith embodies for the renewal of English R&B soul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
