{"id":57399,"date":"2020-08-24T12:43:37","date_gmt":"2020-08-24T10:43:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/?p=57399"},"modified":"2020-08-24T12:43:39","modified_gmt":"2020-08-24T10:43:39","slug":"liam-bailey-ekundayo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/liam-bailey-ekundayo\/","title":{"rendered":"Liam Bailey announces new album on Big Crown Records"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Six years after his debut album the British singer Liam Bailey announces <em>Ekundayo<\/em> to be released on November 13th on the New York based record label Big Crown.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Nottingham-based singer, songwriter and composer Liam Bailey is back with a second album entirely produced by prolific New Yorker Leon Michels (Lana Del Rey, Lee Fields, Sharon-Jones &amp; The Dap-Kings&#8230;), producer and co-founder of Big Crown Records in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With an inimitable style that oscillates between reggae, soul and r&amp;b, subtly alternating between retro textures and contemporary sounds, the British artist has collaborated with renowned producers such as Salaam Remi, signed to the Lioness Records label of the late Amy Winehouse before moving on to major label (Sony Music) for <em>Definitely Now<\/em>, his debut album released in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Liam Bailey - White Light\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3uCKumTKZBo?feature=oembed&#038;autoplay=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ekundayo<\/em> in Yoruba (a language spoken mainly in West Africa) translates as &#8220;sorrow becomes joy&#8221;.
