Born in the Bronx and raised between Jamaica and Miami, the son of late reggae icon Jimmy Riley has been a force on Jamaica\u2019s music scene since the mid 2000s, when he released his debut album, <em>Challenges<\/em>, and broke big with his first #1 hit, the women\u2019s empowerment anthem \u201cShe\u2019s Royal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video, directed by Ruption of RD Studios, presents a stunning survey of Jamaica during the time of Covid-19 \u2014 barren, bruised and desolate as it emerges from lockdown to get back to business and begin its healing process. With footage shot across the island during quarantine blended with more recent scenes from the recent Black Lives Matter protests in Jamaica, and around the world, the video features cameos from fellow artists Konshens and Kemar Highcon and Jamaican producers Shane Brown and Kareem \u2018Remus\u2019 Burrell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Healing<\/em> is Riley\u2019s first album since 2014\u2019s <em>Love Situation<\/em>, which was produced by Shane Brown and Dean Fraser, reaching #1 on Billboard\u2019s Reggae Chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 12-track LP is the first Jamaican reggae album written and recorded entirely during the time of Covid-19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u00abWhat I had to do to not panic, and keep my sanity, is to express myself.
