By combining traditional instruments such as sabar, xalam and balafon with live drums, electronic drum pads and a range of vintage synthesizers, their sound pays tribute to traditional West African rhythm &amp; grooves and the love for ambient &amp; synthesizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shot in Gambia and directed by Bas Ackerman, to whom we owe the excellent documentary <em>Welcome to the Smiling Coast: Living in the Gambian Ghetto<\/em> (2016), the video for \u201cFree The System\u201d invokes our capacity for wonder where childlike imagination brings creativity and happiness is celebrated. It&#8217;s about the gap between the older generation and the younger generation. The old system can\u2019t easily deal with young or new idea\u2019s. The current global pandemic and Black Lives Matter movement&nbsp; clearly show us that the system needs to be changed, we have to free ourselves from it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Free The System! <\/em>EP is set land on June 19th.
