Fed with <strong>Sammy Lartey<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Ebo Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>from his earliest childhood, Blay starts music at eight years old borrowing his dad&#8217;s flute. During the sixties, the young\u00a0aspiring musician was impressed with the music he heard on the popular radio show, &#8220;Voice of America Jazz Hour.&#8221; That sixties show featured such jazz giants as Jimmy Smith, Max Roach, Wes Montgomery, Charlie Parker, Clifford Brown, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Eckstie&#8230; all of whom became part of Ambolley&#8217;s early musical experience.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 42px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=3546878075\/size=small\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/transparent=true\/\" seamless&gt;&lt;a href=\"http:\/\/blayambolley.bandcamp.com\/album\/ketan\"&gt;Ketan by Blay Ambolley&lt;\/a loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>Saxophonist, singer, songwriter and producer, Blay Ambolley\u00a0explosed\u00a0on the music scene in 1973 with a jazzy highlife sound called &#8216;SIMIGWA-DO&#8217;, a blend of highlife and jazz in which he incorporated a rap phrase in fanti language.\u00a0He has toured throughout West Africa, Europe, Canada, and the United States and has performed on the same stage with some of the world\u2019s most celebrated artistes such as;
