Hot Casa Records<\/a> reissues\u00a0Love Peace & Happiness<\/em>, one of the rarest albums from\u00a0the Afro Soul maestro.<\/h3>\n

Musician, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Orlando Julius Ekemode<\/strong> took is nickname from a famous Nigerian actor, Orlando Martins<\/strong>. Born in 1943 in Ondo State, he started in music at a very young age, becoming the school drummer and learning flute, bugle and other instruments at St Peters Anglican School in Ikole-Ekiti. Later in the 60s, he made a name for himself with his own Afrobeat sound blending US\u00a0R&B with\u00a0traditional highlife music. His career will cross the Atlantic in the 70s, bringing African music to a new audience.\u00a0One of the most famous Orlando’s song is ‘Going Back To My Roots<\/a>‘, co- composed with Lamont Dozier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

His masterpiece album Love Peace & Happiness\u00a0<\/em>was composed in 1978 between\u00a0Maryland and West Virginia (USA)\u00a0and released in limited quantity in Nigeria by the obscure label Jungle records. Today, Hot Casa Records gives these 6 powerful Afro Funk tracks a second life with this reissue carefully remastered by specialists\u00a0Carvery.<\/p>\n
