Seu<\/span>n Kuti invited guitar hero Carlos Santana and talented hip-hop and jazz producer Robert Glasper to collaborate on this project.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black Times<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0is a true reflection of my political and social beliefs,\u201d says the singer, bandleader and musician, 34. \u201cIt is an album for anybody who believes in change and understands the duty we have to rise up and come together. The elites always try to divide the working class and the poor people of the world. The same oppression felt by workers in Flint, Michigan is felt by workers in Lagos and Johannesburg.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are all capable of change, us iron people, us workers.\u00a0<i>Black Times<\/i>\u00a0is the sound of the people, and a weapon of the future.
