{"id":42324,"date":"2018-06-12T11:38:32","date_gmt":"2018-06-12T10:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/pam-meets-kae-sun-2\/"},"modified":"2020-05-04T23:19:02","modified_gmt":"2020-05-04T22:19:02","slug":"pam-meets-kae-sun-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/pam-meets-kae-sun-2\/","title":{"rendered":"PAM meets Kae Sun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe  class=\"pam-featured-content\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/v_aSa7BmiEQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>After having left his native land, Ghana, to move to Europe, New York, then Toronto, he\u2019s chosen to settle in a city that resembles him, and where he seems to have found his musical path: Montreal.\u00a0We had\u00a0spent an afternoon with Kwaku Darko-Mensah Jr.<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting was set in a place very much appreciated by Montreal night owls: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ti-Agrikol<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, located next to the Haitian restaurant <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agrikol<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that Arcade Fire\u2019s R\u00e9gine Chassagne and Win Butler helped open.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today the place is renowned for the quality of its DJ\u2019s selection, who knows how to adapt smooth beats to the crowd\u2019s strong desire to dance until the early morning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kwaku Mensah Jr. presence in this place is a bit incongruous, as he\u2019s quiet, relaxed and he seems to enjoy the pleasure of a conversation. It\u2019s noon and you can still smell the sweet perfume of sweat and alcohol from the previous night.\u00a0The interview takes place on the tiny dancefloor.
