Afropop star, Tiwa Savage beats Davido, Shekhinah, and Fally Ipupa to become the first female act to win the Best African Act award at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards.<\/span><\/h4>\n

With songs like “<\/span>Laba Laba<\/a>“, “Tiwa\u2019s Vibe<\/a>“, “Lova Lova<\/a>“<\/span>\u00a0and collaborations with artists like Skales, Diamond Platnumz, DJ Consequence, DJ Enimoney, it has been an amazing couple of the months for the artist. She entered the male-dominated Nigerian music scene in 2010 with “<\/span>Kele Kele Love”<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/i>a self-released single produced by Harmony Samuels, since then she has been an unrelenting force in the industry and intrinsic part of the making of Afropop.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Her recent appearance in Wizkid\u2019s record-breaking “<\/span>Fever<\/a>“<\/span>\u00a0video has sparked several reactions and interests on Social Media. Other winners include Cardi B for ‘Best New Artist’, Nicki Minaj for ‘Best Hip Hop’, Panic! At The Disco, for ‘Best Alternative’ and Dua Lipa for ‘Best Pop’.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
