The album was a\u00a0manifesto for a generation that does not seek to please or to conform, in between two continents,\u00a0shifting the epicenter of contemporary electronic music. Deena Abdelwahed tackled the codes of so-called &#8220;eastern techno&#8221;\u00a0relying on sounds that are familiar to westerners as \u201cexotic\u201d or \u201coriental\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It is now turned over to M.E.S.H., already known for his deconstructions of club tropes, to flip &#8220;Tawa&#8221;, adding his propulsive, frenetic avant-garde bass music-inspired beats. The American producer, based in Berlin, will share the stage with Deena on January 31st at La Gait\u00e9 Lyrique in Paris.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=3953359962\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" seamless=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"><a href=\"http:\/\/deenabdelwahed.bandcamp.com\/album\/tawa-remixes-ep\">Tawa Remixes EP by Deena Abdelwahed<\/a><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>British producer Karen Gwyer, who will be playing with Deena at <span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.residentadvisor.net\/promoter.aspx?id=84261\">ReTextured Festival<\/a><\/span> in London in March, Parisian newcomer Basile3 and Spanish artist Clip (who also co-produced\u00a0<em>Khonnar<\/em>) take care of the other remixes.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tawa Remixes\u00a0<\/em>will be out on February 22nd\u00a0on Infin\u00e9.
