To celebrate Women\u2019s day, we offer you a playlist<\/a> featuring 60 women that inspire us every day.<\/span><\/h4>\n

By listening to the tracks we decided to share, it has to be recognised: women are the ones making contemporary music more exciting and creative.<\/p>\n

Without any regards to style barriers, we built this playlist following two common denominators. Of course, there\u2019s Africa and its diaspora. But there\u2019s also the fact of being an artist to be followed in 2019, be it on stage on through releases. This year\u2019s first quarter has not past yet, but we already have discovered several gems: Lawnfadah\u2019s organic R\u2019n\u2019B, Ibibio Sound Machine\u2019s groovy afro-disco, Rina Mushonga\u201ds hybrid sounds, Jamila Wood\u2019s dreamy soul, Zara McFarlane\u2019s charismatic dub, Deena Abdelwahed\u2019s dark and disturbing techno, Jamaica\u2019s young Koffee, Afro Pop Stars Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage, as well as Africa\u2019s emerging electronic scenes.<\/p>\n
