He started producing on Fruity Loops in 2012, having been introduced to the software by his uncle. Initially inspired by house and kwaito, he started producing\u00a0within\u00a0the Mafia Boyz. His discovery of <span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music.com\/en\/tag\/dj-lag\/\">DJ Lag<\/a><\/span>&#8216;s &#8220;Blast&#8221; would push him into the gqom craze, from which he never came back. His tracks are raw and powerful,\u00a0to the point\u00a0that they caught Kanye West&#8217;s attention. He now works as an A&amp;R for\u00a0Gqom Oh!<\/p>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #fd7065;\">What&#8217;s your favorite opening track?<\/span><strong><br \/>\n\u201c<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/k5xz64kzwMM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ghetto Mafia<\/a><\/span>\u201d by\u00a0Citizen Boy<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>It\u2019s a good track to start your set because it\u2019s dark and it automatically sets the mood of the room to be dark. It&#8217;s like you\u2019re going through a black hole. It has this hypnotic sample that\u2019s screaming in a mans\u2019s deep voice, like he\u2019s in trouble and he can\u2019t get out of this black hole: \u201chelp, help, help, help\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #fd7065;\">Your peaktime track?<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/-wJKPws_l8g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">6 to 6<\/a>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0by Mafia Boyz<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>It\u2019s very minimal and dark, it has like this hypnotic sample that gets stuck in your head.\u00a0 The song is very spacious as well, it\u2019s dark and it doesn\u2019t have a lot of instruments, so it makes it good because you can feel the mood and the build up of the song.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #fd7065;\">The song you&#8217;ve played the most since the beginning of your carreer?<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>\u201c<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dxW0iMHhzF8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Indaba kaBani Besibenuza<\/a><\/span>\u201d by Citizen Boy<\/strong><\/h6>\n<div>It\u2019s the track that got me so much attention worldwide and a lot of people who know me know that track. It\u2019s like a signature track and I love to play it because every time I play it people go wild, especially when the song comes back with the bell\u00a0they just lose their minds !<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #fd7065;\">The best track to relax after a party?<br \/>\n<\/span><strong>\u201c<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/-wuAjrkNWE8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">War Stories<\/a><\/span>\u201d by Bizza Wethu, DJ Simpra &amp; Aux Womdanso<\/strong><\/h6>\n<div>It\u2019s a really soulful track but it is sgubhu not gqom. It\u2019s a really good song to end the set with, as well if you want a dance vibe but at the same time you want something to touch your soul, it\u2019s a sad beautiful song that keeps you calm and puts you in your own state of mind&#8230;<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #fd7065;\">Your current guilty pleasure track?<br \/>\n<\/span><strong>\u201c<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ifyH2dHXkFI\">Rees Vibe<\/a><\/span>\u201d by Griffit Vigo<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/div>\n<div>It\u2019s a crazy minimal song, that has percussions\/drums that sounds like a dramatic scene is about to happen in the jungle : \u201cdadadadadadada\u201d<\/div>\n<div>It puts me in a safari mood and the samples on the song sounds like something is barking in the jungle and you\u2019re trying to run away. It changes the whole atmosphere of my set, it\u2019s a hypnotic song like you are in the jungle and you are being chased by wild creatures.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #fd7065;\">The best closing track?<br \/>\n<\/span><strong>\u201c<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/KEKIORJYip4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alala<\/a>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0by\u00a0Dapo Tuburna &amp; Citizen Boy<\/strong><\/h6>\n<div>It has catchy vocals on it and it\u2019s like sgubhu with a little bit of pop and soulful at the same time. I think it\u2019s good to close with it because the vocals are catchy and it will be the last thing they think about.
