I\u2019m extremely proud of what we\u2019ve come up as a piece of work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The story of Lee Perry and Adrian Sherwood collaborating stretches back to the mid-1980s, and a fortuitous meeting brokered by underground broadcasting legend Steve Barker between the dub innovator and UK upstart. This led to the creation of On-U classics such as\u00a0<i>Time Boom X De Devil Dead<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>The Mighty Upsetter<\/i>, as well as Lee gracing Dub Syndicate records with some vital vocal injections.<\/p>\n<p>They previewed the first single \u201cAfrican Starship\u201d, which finds Lee Perry unique vocal over a dub groove laced with overdubs and muted trumpet.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=4134905258\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" seamless=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"><a href=\"http:\/\/leeperry.bandcamp.com\/album\/rainford\">Rainford by Lee &#8220;Scratch&#8221; Perry<\/a><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Rainford<\/em>\u00a0is scheduled to hit streaming platforms on May 31 via On-U Sound.
