The Crown City Rockers went on winning multiple \u201cbest of\u201d awards, touring widely and releasing two critically acclaimed albums, garnering praise from both fans and critics alike. Raashan then launched a solo career, releasing a series of well-received albums: <em>The Push<\/em>, <em>For What You\u2019ve Lost<\/em>, and <em>Ceremony<\/em>. The success of these albums expanded his fan base and placed Raashan on an international stage that had him touring feverishly across North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V2Qo5-f_AcU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>His newest album <em>The Sun,\u00a0<\/em>set to be released on May 24th,\u00a0 is his most exciting project to date.\u00a0The record finds elements of what Raashan has been\u2014soulful, socially aware and focused on self-discovery\u2014while adding elements of the broader world: African rhythms, spoken word, jazz discoveries, flamenco palmas, mixed in a truly original musical gumbo.<\/p>\n<p>Asked about the album, Raashan said, \u201cI couldn\u2019t create another record that sounded like what I\u2019ve already produced. Being exposed to so many new sounds, ideas, and cultures combined with the state of the world pushed me to a place I am beyond excited about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Sun\u00a0<\/em>is scheduled to hit streaming platforms on May 24 via B-Sides \/ L&#8217;Autre Distribution.
