This experimental, DIY approach is characteristic of the label\u2019s vision. It tries to tell the story of Bel\u00e9m, the birthplace of a myriad of new musical genres, such as carimb\u00f3, samba-de-cacete and siri\u00e1. Being at the intersection of Amerindian cultures, Caribbean sounds and rhythms as well as from Colombia, Surinam and Guyana, the Bel\u00e9m was also known as the \u201cCaribbean Port\u201d.
