Affiliate of Nyege Nyege, the Kenyan rapper based in Uganda MC Yallah has teamed up with producer Debmaster for her debut album, Kubali<\/em>.\u00a0<\/span>The killer fresh rap from MC Yallah, backed with Debmaster\u2019s\u00a0explosive\u00a0production style. Kubali<\/em> features 11 tracks recorded at Boutiq Studios, Kampala. MC Yallah performed at this year\u2019s Nyege Nyege Festival, at Nile Discovery Beach in Jinja, Uganda.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mx Blouse<\/b><\/h5>\n

South African artist, writer, and DJ Mx Blouse is back with a new 5-tracked EP called Re:Mx<\/em>. It features the critically-acclaimed ‘No Match’. Mx Blouse combines a variety of musical influences \u2014 including r&b, hip-hop, kwaito, and house drawing us into the great history of 90s kwaito music. \u201cThe name stuck. \u2018Mx\u2019 is the honorific used by people who identify as non-binary, and so I\u2019m Mx Blouse as opposed to \u2018Mr.\u2019 or \u2018Ms. Blouse,\u2019 basically.\u201d explained the artist.<\/span><\/p>\n

English band The Comet Is Coming released a six-song collection mini-album called <\/span>The Afterlife,\u00a0<\/span><\/i>a companion piece to their sophomore album, <\/span>Trust In The Lifeforce Of The Deep Mystery<\/span><\/i>, released in March.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cThe Afterlife<\/span><\/i> has been a topic of deep consideration and of the keys to spiritual mythology around the world for millennia\u201d the band\u2019s keyboardist said in a press statement. \u201cThe two records can be seen as companions, that cannot exist without each other, like day and night, light and dark, creation and destruction. They were made together, at the same time, and have always been intended to be experienced together.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

After building a strong rep for himself over the past few years, French producer, instrumentalist and DJ Neue Grafik brings his Parisian roots and his love for London sounds like broken beat & grime into his new ensemble. The mini-LP Feulden Road<\/em> is a collection of 7 tracks that reflect the many moods and various genres indicative of Neue\u2019s creative approach.\u00a0<\/span>In Neue Grafik\u2019s own words \u201c<\/span>this mini album has been conceived as a journey from Deptford to Dalston, right through Peckham. During a personal period of transition, I put this music forward at a crossroad of all my influences, taking the time to share and experiment with a band \u2013 more than that, an ensemble<\/span><\/i>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Following months of promotion, self-taught DJ and hitmaker of the South African House Music scene, Prince Kaybee has finally released his most experimental project so far, Crossover Music<\/em>. The 9-track piece put forward a sound the artist has never explored before. It crafts sounds ranging from clubby gqom, Mzansi sound to tech-house and features voices of Minnie (\u201cImbokodo\u201d), Zhao (\u201cLiving On this Love), Ngasii (\u201cSondela\u201d) and Afro Brothers & Supta, AKA, Indlovukazi for the remix of the song \u201cGugulethu\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wono EP <\/i><\/b><\/h5>\n
Koichi Sakai<\/b><\/h5>\n

London-based producer and DJ Koichi Sakai released brand new EP, <\/span>Wono<\/span><\/i>\u00a0in collaboration with Ghanaian percussionist and singer Afla Sackey (Afrik Bawantu).\u00a0<\/span>The project sees Koichi mixing African percussion instruments and themes with synths and drum machines and features the dancefloor workout \u2018Jingo\u2019, a fresh take on Babatunde Olatunji\u2019s original featuring vocals and percussion and \u2018Wono\u2019 from Koichi\u2019s debut LP gets the remix treatment by Osunlade (Yoruba Soul) who takes Afla\u2019s lead vocals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
