The 8-minute short features several tracks from the record, along with original music and lyrics written specially for the film.<\/p>\n<p>Shot on 16mm film in Equiknoxx\u2019s home base of Kingston, the film is the result of a trip filmmakers<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/eoinmacmanus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0<\/a>E\u00f3in MacManus\u00a0and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/aneurin_b\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0<\/a>Neirin Jones\u00a0took to visit the\u00a0band back in June.<\/p>\n<p>Performance and documentary footage collide with surreal \u2018Limonious in a rubber hose style\u2019 animations by Venezuelan artist Gustavo Dao,\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">making an hybrid wild film that defies easy categorization \u2014 much like Equiknoxx themselves.\u00a0<\/span>Vibrant\u00a0voiceover is provided by dancehall icons Ward 21 and Screechy Dan, while Gavsborg meditates on the album\u2019s meaning and the nature of creativity itself.<\/p>\n<p>Recorded in Kingston, Jamaica for their own Equiknoxx Music label, <em>Eternal Children<\/em> is the first time all five members have appeared on record together, with all three producers &#8211; Gavin \u201cGavsborg\u201d Blair, Nick \u201cBobby Blackbird\u201d Deane, and Jordan \u201cTime Cow\u201d Chung &#8211; cooking up for their vocalist Shanique Marie, alongside the ruder styles of regular spars, MC\u2019s Kemikal and Alozade.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34341\" src=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music-production.fra1.digitaloceanspaces.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/6f7739b6-equiknoxx-papa-hawk.gif\" alt=\"Equiknoxx - Papa Hawk\" width=\"812\" height=\"609\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-34346\" src=\"https:\/\/pan-african-music-production.fra1.digitaloceanspaces.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/770de5a7-equiknoxx-eternal-children-short-film.gif\" alt=\"Equiknoxx - Eternal Children short film\" width=\"723\" height=\"504\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The short film from Equiknoxx&#8217;s latest album is a dive into\u00a0Kingtson&#8217;s culture of dancehall soundsytem.
