He belongs to a rare class of musicians naturally fluent in both jazz performance and hip-hop production. He\u2019s also a clear contemporary of brazen, potent genre-shifters like Madlib, Flying Lotus, Thundercat and Solange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On new single &#8220;Show Me a Prison&#8221;, Overall invited Dr. Angela Davis, a longtime jazz supporter and fan of Overall\u2019s work, to make a cameo, punctuating the album\u2019s dive into the human condition and exploration of social justice.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dPUp2_kX-8g\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I THINK I\u2019M GOOD<\/em>\u00a0is a window into the real life of Overall. He&#8217;s<\/span>\u00a0confronting his experience with mental illness, which included a manic episode and subsequent hospitalisation when he was a student. Themes of incarceration and claustrophobia weave through the record, but never drown out the feeling of a fragile but vital hope.<\/p>\n<p><em>I THINK I&#8217;M GOOD<\/em>\u00a0 will be released on February 28th on Brownswood Recordings.
