Through her work, she explores notions of identity, memory, and social politics.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=1973475171\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/track=1009895006\/transparent=true\/\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" seamless=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bergsonist.bandcamp.com\/album\/middle-ouest\">Middle Ouest by bergsonist<\/a><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the autobiographical theme,\u00a0<i>Middle Ouest<\/i>\u00a0is notable for its generous use of hand drums.\u00a0That endlessly satisfying palm-to-skin thwack animates several of the album&#8217;s best tracks, including the cacophonous &#8220;Middle Ouest&#8221;. For those still looking for a way into Bergsonism, it may be the best expression yet of Abd&#8217;s\u00a0nebulous, intuitive and personal approach.\u00a0Selwa said some words about the album: &#8220;<em>Middle Ouest is an ode to my history, present and<\/em><span class=\"bcTruncateMore\"><em>\u00a0future self. Like a sonic autobiography, it&#8217;s the first body of work that realistically depicts my identity.
