Five years after the release of his last album Wanted<\/em>, the Lagos-based singer Wande Coal is back with new EP<\/b>,\u00a0<\/b>Realms.<\/b>\u00a0<\/i><\/h4>\n

Contemporary Nigeria Pop music wouldn\u2019t be what it sounds like without Wande Coal.\u00a0Artists like Wizkid, Davido, and Fireboy DML mentioned many times Wande’s influence in their music. Indeed, the vocalist\u00a0<\/strong>has helped to shape the sound of modern afropop from his early days with the pioneering Mo\u2019Hits label, to recent classics like \u201cIskaba\u201d<\/u><\/a> <\/span>with DJ Tunez.<\/p>\n

Realms<\/em>, due to be released on the 20th of March, is Wande\u2019s first project in five years. It features six-track\u00a0including collaborations with Sarz, London\u2019s Lekaa Beats and Melvitto\u2014who produced \u201cAgain\u201d with Screwface.<\/p>\n

Wande Coal also shared the visual for the song “Ode lo like” which means “they love fools”. It shows the Nigerian singing and dancing to a lively rhythm from producers Dapiano and Screwface. The clip is shot in Wande Coal’s hometown, Lagos, in a dimly lit room with the director and cinematographer Adasa cookey (Burna Boy, Davido).<\/span><\/p>\n
